Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
QR Code Fairy is a product of HyperDirect, LLC (HyperDirect, we, or us). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of QR Code Fairy. By using QR Code Fairy or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection or other legal right that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.
The service
QR Code Fairy provides tools for creating and customizing static QR codes. The ordinary QR generator can be used without an account.
QR Code Fairy also provides optional account features, including the ability to save certain QR code definitions for later use. An account is required to use Saved QR Codes.
QR Code Fairy does not presently provide hosted redirects, editable QR destinations, dynamic QR codes, scan tracking, or scan analytics. Creating or saving a QR code does not cause QR Code Fairy to host, control, or continuously monitor its destination.
Accounts
You may create or access an account using supported authentication methods, which may include email and password, Google, or Microsoft.
Email-and-password account registration may require completion of an automated-abuse prevention check provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and authentication methods and for activity conducted through your account. Please notify us promptly if you reasonably suspect that your account has been compromised.
Some security-sensitive actions may require additional verification or recent authentication.
You may delete your QR Code Fairy account through the available account controls. Account deletion is intended to be permanent and removes the active account and associated Saved QR Codes, subject to limited backup, security, and legal retention described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your QR Code Fairy account does not delete or revoke your separate Google or Microsoft account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create or maintain a QR Code Fairy account. If applicable law requires you to be older to use account features without parental or guardian authorization, you must meet that requirement or have the authorization required by law.
Customer support
QR Code Fairy may provide account-based customer support through support tickets. Most support requests do not require access to the contents of Saved QR Codes.
If access to saved information is reasonably necessary to investigate an issue, support may request temporary authorization to access a specific Saved QR Code or, when broader access is necessary, the account's saved QR collection. You may approve, decline, or revoke such authorization as described in the service. Authorization is temporary and does not arise merely because you open a support ticket.
Additional details about support access, security controls, logging, and retention are described in our Privacy Policy.
Saved QR Codes
Saved QR Codes is an optional account feature. A saved QR code is an editable definition that QR Code Fairy can use to reconstruct the generator state. It is not a hosted redirect, a dynamic QR code, or a scan-tracking service.
Depending on what you choose to save, a saved definition may contain:
- the selected QR content type and the fields used for that type;
- customization and appearance settings;
- export settings and branding choices;
- an optional name; and
- an optional normalized logo.
Saved definitions and associated private content are protected as described in our Privacy Policy. They are accessible through the service to the owning account and, when specifically authorized by the account holder for customer-support purposes, may be temporarily accessible to authorized QR Code Fairy support personnel as described in the Privacy Policy. You may also independently export or share generated output.
You may be able to reopen, edit, copy, rename, or delete saved definitions. Copying a saved definition creates a separate record. Deleting a saved record is intended to be permanent, subject to the limited backup and operational retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Saved QR Codes is a convenience feature and is not a backup or permanent archival service. You should retain your own copies of important QR codes, source information, logos, and other content. We do not promise a bulk export facility, a restore service, or permanent retention of stored records.
Reasonable technical controls, including request-size restrictions and abuse-prevention rate limits, may apply even where the service does not impose a product-level saved-record quota.
Your content
You retain whatever ownership and other rights you have in content you enter, upload, or save through QR Code Fairy ("Your Content"). You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use Your Content.
Your Content may include QR payload information, saved names, logos, contact information, Wi-Fi network information and credentials, destination addresses, and other material you choose to enter or save.
You grant QR Code Fairy a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, encrypt, decrypt, normalize, technically transform, display back to you, and transmit Your Content only where technically necessary to provide the service you request. We may otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the features you request;
- generate or reconstruct QR codes;
- secure and maintain the service;
- prevent abuse;
- troubleshoot problems; and
- provide support.
This permission lasts only for as long as and to the extent reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to the retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
This permission does not transfer ownership of Your Content to QR Code Fairy. It does not give us a general right to use Your Content for advertising, promotion, sale, unrelated artificial-intelligence training, or other unrelated purposes without separate authorization.
Generated QR codes
Subject to any rights held by third parties in the underlying content, logos, fonts, or other materials, you may download, reproduce, print, modify, distribute, and use QR codes generated through QR Code Fairy for personal or commercial purposes.
QR Code Fairy does not claim ownership of the QR code output merely because it was generated using the service.
You remain responsible for the content encoded in a QR code, the destination or action it invokes, and the context in which you distribute or display it. These Terms do not grant you rights in third-party names, logos, trademarks, copyrighted material, personal information, or other protected content.
Acceptable use
You must not use QR Code Fairy to:
- violate applicable law or another person's legal rights;
- facilitate fraud, phishing, impersonation, deception, or other malicious activity;
- encode or distribute malware or knowingly malicious destinations;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
- access or attempt to access another person's account or saved content without authorization;
- bypass authentication, authorization, ownership checks, or other security controls;
- interfere with, overload, damage, or materially disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
- bypass, interfere with, evade, or defeat registration security checks, other abuse-prevention controls, or rate limits;
- use automated systems in a manner that creates unreasonable load or disrupts ordinary use; or
- use QR Code Fairy to distribute content that you are not legally permitted to use or share.
These restrictions are directed at unauthorized, abusive, or harmful conduct. They are not intended to prohibit ordinary interoperability work, responsible reporting of security issues, or lawful good-faith research that does not access another person's data, degrade the service, or circumvent controls without authorization.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the service or an account, or remove stored content, when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, protect users or the service, respond to a security incident, comply with applicable law or a valid legal requirement, or prevent material abuse. Where appropriate and practicable, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue, but immediate action may be necessary in some circumstances.
Third-party destinations and services
A QR code may direct a scanner to a third-party website, application, communication method, network, or other destination. QR Code Fairy does not control those destinations and does not guarantee their availability, safety, legality, accuracy, privacy, or continued operation.
QR Code Fairy does not routinely visit, validate, approve, or monitor destinations encoded in QR codes. The presence of a destination in a QR code does not constitute an endorsement by QR Code Fairy.
You and the people who scan a code are responsible for deciding whether to access or rely on a third-party destination.
Authentication providers and other third-party services, including Google and Microsoft, operate under their own terms and privacy practices. QR Code Fairy is not responsible for the independent operation of those services.
Referral promotions
QR Code Fairy may show visitors who are not signed in a clearly labeled referral promotion after they download a URL-type QR code. HyperDirect may receive non-cash rewards based on qualifying referrals. Referral promotions are optional third-party links. You are not required to open them or use the promoted service, and doing so does not affect your QR code or your use of QR Code Fairy. The promoted service operates under its own terms and privacy practices.
Test before relying on a QR code
You should test every QR code before printing, publishing, selling, distributing, or relying on it.
Testing should include, as appropriate:
- confirming the encoded information, destination, or action;
- trying different devices and scanning applications;
- checking the intended physical size and viewing distance;
- verifying contrast and readability;
- reviewing the effect of styling, colors, logos, and print quality; and
- confirming that the destination remains available and appropriate.
Error correction may improve resilience but does not guarantee that every scanner, device, camera, print process, or display will read a code successfully.
A static QR code does not expire merely because it was generated by QR Code Fairy. However, websites, contact details, credentials, network settings, applications, and other destinations encoded in it may change, expire, become unavailable, or be controlled by someone else.
A person who can see or photograph a QR code may be able to read its contents. Do not treat a visible QR code as confidential.
Service changes and availability
We may maintain, modify, add, remove, interrupt, or discontinue service features for operational, security, legal, or business reasons.
If a planned change is expected to materially affect access to stored content, we will, where reasonably practicable, try to provide advance notice or other useful information. This does not guarantee a particular notice period, continued operation of a feature, or the availability of a data-export tool.
The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, universal scanner compatibility, or fitness for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, QR Code Fairy is not responsible for problems resulting from:
- inaccurate or unauthorized content supplied by a user;
- changes to or failures of third-party destinations or services;
- failure to test a QR code adequately;
- use of a QR code outside the service;
- loss or corruption of saved content; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
You should maintain independent copies of anything important.
QR Code Fairy intellectual property
QR Code Fairy's website, branding, software, interface, documentation, and other service materials are owned by HyperDirect, LLC or its licensors and may be protected by intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights in QR Code Fairy's service, branding, or underlying software are transferred to you.
Third-party software and materials may be subject to their own licenses.
This section is separate from Your Content and from generated QR output. QR Code Fairy does not acquire ownership of Your Content or generated QR codes merely because the service processed or generated them.
Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, protection, and deletion of personal information and saved content are described in our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy also explains the distinction between ordinary browser-local QR generation and the optional storage involved when an authenticated user chooses to save a QR definition.
Disclaimers and limits
You are responsible for deciding whether QR Code Fairy and the QR codes you create are appropriate for your intended purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, QR Code Fairy disclaims implied warranties that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, permanently available, or suitable for every device, scanner, destination, or use.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, QR Code Fairy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from third-party destinations, user-supplied content, failure to test a QR code, unauthorized use outside our reasonable control, or loss or unavailability of saved content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited, or waived.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, security practices, legal obligations, or business operations.
Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Where required by law, or where a change materially affects account or stored-content rights, we may provide additional notice.
Changes do not retroactively transfer ownership of Your Content or generated output to QR Code Fairy.
