We appreciate you keeping it—it helps others discover QR Code Fairy. Totally optional.

Generated in your browser. Static codes do not expire. Test your downloaded code before sharing it.

What a URL QR code contains

A standard URL QR code stores the website address itself. This generator accepts complete HTTP or HTTPS addresses and writes the normalized address directly into a static QR code. Standard static QR codes do not rely on a QR Code Fairy redirect, so they continue to work independently after you download them.

Use the complete destination you want people to reach, including any path, query parameters, or page-specific portion of the address.

With a static QR code, the destination is fixed

A static QR code keeps the same stored address after download. You can update the page at that address, but changing the domain or URL requires creating a new code.

URL codes work well on menus, packaging, signs, documentation, and printed handouts when the linked page is maintained for as long as the code is in circulation.

Check the final journey

Scan the exported image—not only the on-screen preview—and confirm the browser opens the intended secure page. Test a physical proof at its final size before a large print run, and avoid sending people to a page that requires a desktop-only interaction.

For visual choices such as contrast, quiet zone, and print format, see the QR code settings guide.
