A contact record inside the QR code
This generator creates a vCard 3.0 record. It requires a first or last name and can include company, job title, phone, email, website, and a single address. The record is stored directly in the QR image rather than fetched from an online profile.
What the scanner can do
A compatible reader can show the details and offer to add them to an address book. The person scanning chooses whether to save the contact; the code cannot silently add or later update an entry. Contact apps may map names and address fields differently, so inspect an actual imported contact on intended devices.
Choose contact details deliberately
vCards work well on physical business cards, conference badges, digital handouts, and reception displays. Include only details you want recipients to retain and potentially share. A concise record creates a less dense code and avoids cluttering someone’s address book.
Use an international phone format when appropriate and a complete HTTPS website address. For a single action, the focused Phone or Email QR code generator may be simpler. When any detail changes, export a new code—the old static vCard does not update itself.
